The Secret of Success!

After years of blogging, I believe that I have finally cracked the secret mantra for success. No, I haven't suddenly graduated to an "A List" blogger from someone lying in a corner of the blogosphere. But, I indeed have the panacea for the worst disease that any blogger could have - maintaining the continuity. Bloggers like me who don't harp around a niche subject face another monster too - the Blogger's Block. Although we claim that we write about anything under the sun, certain external factors and frustration don't allow you to think about blogging at all for weeks and sometimes for months altogether.

I myself have been badly hit because of this many a time, thanks to the worldly distractions in the web a.k.a Orkut, Youtube, Google Reader, Wikipedia and those many many news sites that almost make you forget whenever you log onto to Blogger or whatever be the platform to blog on...!

So, what is cooking these days?

Drafts.

All these years, I have never really used the drafts. Whenever, I feel like, I compose the post in one shot and hit publish then and there. So, I end up blogging only when I have all the time in the world. But off late, I have been using the drafts feature to a good extent.

In addition to this, I have been following a very simple thumb rule :

Never publish a post until you are ready with the next one.

What happens here is - when you have invested some time and created something, you don't have the patience to see it lying dormant amongst the drafts. So you are bound to write about something else so that you can publish the previous post and this cycle continues..! :-o)
