Sculptures on the Gopuram

Pictured is a sculpture of Lord Dathathreya..

There is a story of "Incarnation" behind (almost) every Hindu God.

In The era gone by , the demonic
energies grew enormously in the gross and subtle forms Gods efforts
to vanquish them were unsuccessful. Then under orders for Lord Brahma
and listening to the prayers of Devas, Maha Vishnu took the form
of Datha. Incarnated at various places in different forms for spiritual
revival and destroyed the demons.

    About...

Hello! Welcome to Arre.. O! Sambar. The personal weblog of Ramchandran Maharajapuram.

I have been sticking around the blogosphere since 2006 and I express my views and thoughts on a wide array of topics (other way of saying pretty much anything under the sun! :-D) here. Off late, I have been pretty much interested in photography and going forward I will share quite a few photos that I post in Flickr through this blog and write about it.

I'm single and currently live in Boston, MA.
