Parting with Pearls of Wisdom [Phuket, Thailand]

EXIF: 1/160s . f/6.3 . ISO 400 . 28 mm

A wise man once said that the mother's heart is the child's schoolroom. That is exactly what I saw when I made this shot just past Sunset, greeted by a fiery Orange sky over the Andaman Sea in Phuket, Thailand. The kid, like everyone his age was running around crabs and collecting shells around the beach while his mother walked by patiently, without losing her calm and patiently answering the zillion questions that the kid would continue to pile up on her. I was looking at this scene so earnestly that I was a bit late in setting up myself for ths shot. Suddenly,I realized that there was one here to make and ran a few paces back to snap this up. All fine but I erred a wee bit in leaving the ISO high up (at 400, my entry level rebel begins to show a teeny bit of noise! Now, that is how I convince myself that I need an upgrade, you see :P).

I'd normally have passed up on a shot like this. I have a ton of shots lying around my hard drive somewhere that would make awesome frames with a little bit of work, but I loved this moment so much that I had to get onto it right away, even if it meant spending that time. In then end, I really like the output. Do you?
